OmniRota works by applying a set of rules from the rules built into the system (currently 161 and growing)
Once the system is set up you will be able to create a rota by simply entering any leave or special additional circumstances (i.e. meetings, staff unavailability for certain sessions) for the rota period.
You then enter the start date and how many weeks you want the rota to span. It will apply the rules to come up with a best fit and also produce a report highlighting any relevant information (i.e. the number of OnCall sessions each person has done) and any other exceptions you specify.
You can then, if required, edit the finished rota to make any changes deemed necessary.
The system also includes a room booking facility and this can be implemented alongside your rota.
Typically, after the rules have been established, you will be able to create a rota in a matter of minutes. The rota can be printed directly and supplied to all staff or exported as an Excel spreadsheet. Additionally the system automatically produces an annual leave planner and will allow you to analyse and report on all rota details past and present. If circumstances or staff change the rules can be changed quite easily, either by you directly, or we will make the changes for you free of charge as part of annual support.
The cost for the software is £200 plus VAT.
Set up and support costs depend on the size of the practice and complexity of your rota. For a ball park figure it averages around £400 for 8 docs and 2 sessions a day without room bookings or £700 with (as we then also typically need to include nurses etc. in the rota).
The software is sold on a perpetual licence, so there are no ongoing license fees. For the first year all support and upgrades are included in the price and after the first 12 months there is an optional annual support and upgrade fee of 1/3 of the original total cost.
